The following services are held each week at the New York City Center. All are welcome to attend. If you are new to meditation or just beginning, we suggest you attend the Thursday evening or Sunday morning services which are a good introduction to meditation and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.

June 3:  There will be a short kirtan led by our Center members on Sunday, June 3 in the main chapel from 12:30-1:00 PM. Come and experience the joy of chanting together in devotion to God.

June 14: The Thursday Inspirational Service will be led by visiting monastics. 

June 15:  The Friday 3-Hr. Meditation will be monastic-led.

June 16: Our annual India Night fundraiser will be held on Saturday, June 16 from 5-8 PM. The program will feature classical dance performances showcasing Indian culture and tradition, as well as ancient Sanskrit hymns and devotional songs and chants, all presented by our NYCC devotees. Also included in this special evening is a showing of the documentary, “Ganges," depicting how the majestic river Ganges has shaped the landscape, wildlife, and culture of India. A delicious vegetarian Indian meal, lovingly prepared by members of our Center, will also be served. SRF monastics will be joining us for this event and we hope you will be able to join us for this inspiring and enjoyable evening of fellowship. All are welcome and tickets may be purchased in the lobby after Thursday and Sunday services, or reserved at Reserved tickets will be held until 4:45 PM the day of the event.

June 17: The Sunday Meditation and Inspirational Service will be monastic-led.            

June 24: All are invited to join us for our monthly Friendship Tea on the third floor after the service. Tea and light refreshments will be served.

The New York City Center of Self-Realization Fellowship is located at 217 East 28th Street, between Second and Third Avenues in Manhattan. This beautiful, four-story building was built as a New York City firehouse in 1893 - the year of our Guru's birth, by the the noted architect, Napoleon LeBrun. It has been completely renovated to meet the needs of Self-Realization Fellowship members living in the metropolitan area or visiting the New York area. Its more than 8,000 square feet of space include the main and overflow chapels, book room, Sunday school rooms, family room and office space, as well as room for social functions.


SRF Home-Study Lesson Series

Instruction in the practice of the techniques taught by Paramahansa Yogananda is presented in the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons, a comprehensive home-study series compiled from his lectures and writings. Covering a wide range of topics, the Lessons offer his inspiring and practical guidance for achieving balanced physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
