The council is responsible for all matters pertaining to the administration of the New York City Center, including its budget, committees, maintenance, and reports to the membership during scheduled General Meetings. New council members are nominated by the sitting council, approved by the Self-Realization Fellowship Center Department, and serve for a tenure of up to three years.
